Morpheus.Network $MRPH Drops Bombshell New Hire Announcement — Benjamin Smith, Son of Coca-Cola President & COO, is the New Director of Business Development!

This news comes fresh out of the team’s Medium account and on the back of another huge development for the project — a Bittrex International listing. Ben certainly brings a solid array of experience in his own right as an entrepreneur and blockchain club founder while earning his Masters Degree in Finance at the University of Miami. But that’s not the most intriguing aspect of this new hire. As they say in business — it’s all about who you know.

We can be sure that Ben is well connected to arguably the best known beverage company in the world — Coca-Cola. It took some savvy community research to confirm, but the resemblance speaks for itself.

Before you scream “crazy coincidence” take a closer look at Ben’s LinkedIn. He attended school in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil prior to his college career in Miami, which began in 2008. Brian Smith was the “president of the Brazil division” from 2002 to 2008 (Source).

This is quite an amazing addition to the Morpheus.Network team. Not only because Ben seems to be a talented tech salesman, judging by the interview posted in the aforementioned announcement, but also because his father is the President and Chief Operating Officer of one of the largest and most popular companies in the world. Networking is the number one tool that a startup can leverage to gain customers and grow its business. And Coca-Cola’s network is packed full of supply-chain pain points that would be perfectly suited for Morpheus.Network’s incredibly flexible platform.

Morpheus.Network provides enterprises with a full-service, global, automated supply chain platform with an integrated cryptocurrency payment system utilizing blockchain, DLT, AI, ML and other technologies to disrupt the $15 trillion Global Trade industry. Most notably, they were recently selected by the Department of Homeland Security for a blockchain based PoC to protect Intellectual Property Rights as goods travel across the United States border. They have also been selected for Silicon Valley’s largest accelerator Plug & Play back in April. As such monumental news keeps piling up, I am very excited to see where all this leads. A partnership with Coca-Cola or a contract with DHS could be coming in the near future. For now, I will just congratulate the team on a truly stellar addition to the Morpheus.Network team. Bravo!
